Pliant Plastics Corp: Housing a Million Dollar Investment

Modular Room

Pliant Plastics Corp. is an injection molding facility located in Spring Lake, Michigan. In business for over 50 years, they work primarily in the automotive industry. However, they understand the importance of distinguishing themselves in their field and continually updating their services to keep up with new technology.

The plant managers at Pliant Plastics have worked with Porta-King in the past to design a modular in-plant office for a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). They were impressed with the quality and the look of that project, so they reached out to Porta-King again when they needed a room to house a new 3D printer.

3D printing represents a million dollar investment for Pliant Plastics. Understandably, they wanted a modular room that would both protect and showcase that large investment. The room needed to be of superior quality and it needed to look as professional as possible, to match their state-of-the-art equipment.

With a Porta-King design, and a few tweaks to dimension, ceiling height, and door and window placement, the plan was ready. Porta-King engineers worked closely with Pliant Plastics to discuss the project needs and update blueprints before getting to work on the final project.

Next, Porta-King communicated with Pliant Plastics regularly as they completed the project timeline. A Porta-King representative was on-site at the time of installation to give directions and make sure that the project was installed quickly and correctly. On-site customer service throughout the project made communication easy.
