Range Towers Porta-King’s PK Structures mezzanine division has manufactured custom range towers for military bases in the United States as well as military installations throughout the world. A typical structure, like the one shown in this photograph is a taller and narrower footprint than some of the other towers we have constructed. In most cases, we will also supply one of our preassembled buildings to be placed on top of the platform to provide shelter for personnel responsible for monitoring range activities. This particular application includes both a caged ladder and a climbing rope to serve as a secondary emergency escape route. Because our PK Structures mezzanines are prefabricated at our plant prior to shipping, these range towers can be assembled in a fraction of the time required for a similar structure that was constructed by welding components together on-site. All Porta-King’s PK Structures towers are constructed utilizing all structural steel components and are designed in strict compliance with the IBC, (International Building Code). All of our towers are painted with an industrial grade are coated with an extremely durable polyurethane acrylic paint to resist nicks and scratches even in the harshest environments.
